Biographical information:

Solomon Cherlin was located in Novgorod, but we learned of him from documents in St. Petersburg.

Solomon Cherlin is known only from Russian state records. He owned a shop in the Maslianitskie barracks, Vysokovskaia volost, district and province of Novgorod.

On September 20, 1915, soldiers in the 179th infantry reserve battalion looted his shop and took the receipts (250 rubles), and the goods, valued at 100 rubles. The soldiers explained that they were indignant because of the lack of bread.

On January 21, 1916 there was a similar attack. Jars were broken with bricks, and receipts of 150 rubles were taken.
