There are many towns that could be Polsk. One such is Polotsk, in the Vitebsk gubernia (not in the Vilna gubernia, but nearby). Many other towns with similar names are in Poland, and a couple are in Lithuania. There is no prominent location of this name within the Vilna gubernia.
