New York State Federation of Women's Clubs, Chairman, Special Projects, International Affairs Department. The Arts Department awards the Sande H. Zirlin Arts Award. Designer of a UNICEF Mother's Day Card.
Sande is a devoted follower of Babylon V, and wrote an article on the the series'portrayal of an unusual Jewish character, Commander Susan Ivanova.
She is the author of a multilingual reference guide for mineral collectors.
